Full moon tonight!

The night fantastic: Photographer makes the moon look enormous with a trick of the lens

This spectacular 'supermoon' lights up the sky with its vivid colours as it overshadows trees and houses.
Its extraordinary bright yellow colour shines behind an old tree and illuminates a long and narrow road.
The supermoon also appears to be incredibly close to an abandoned wooden house near Lake Oahe, South Dakota, US.
A photographer used a special technique to make the moon appear enormous as it dominates nearby landmarks.

To make it appear larger, photographer Aaron Groen used a tripod and shot with a 300mm long lens, which makes distant objects appear magnified.
Meanwhile, next to the same tree in Brandon, South Dakota, the moon appears to be tiny.

Mr Groen, 34, from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, US, said: 'I used a faster shutter speed to capture the detail and took more pictures adjusting the focus to capture the foreground details.
'Then these exposures are combined or stacked and blended to show the infinite focus, more like the naked eye sees it.'

Mr Groen revealed how he loves to shoot near his home in South Dakota.
He added: 'The tree is a historical marker along the highway near it because it is growing out of an ancient native American burial mound, near Brandon.
'And the house is located near Lake Oahe where I spend a lot of time camping and fishing in the summer.
'There were no signs of life anywhere other then the sounds of coyotes howling in the distance.
'These are my favourite locations to shoot. I love shooting anything that appears to have been left behind by mankind and is returning to the Earth.
'The supermoon was shot at dusk, just after sunset, which is why it is so bright as there is still some light outside.'
