Solstice

Winter Solstice 2021
Yule is celebrated on or around the 21st of December each year. It is the shortest day of the year and is also called the Winter Solstice.
In the illustration the hare is flying through the wintery night sky. The sun is setting on the shortest day and the full moon heralds the longest night of the year.
The picture is taken from the book “Luna Moon Hare” which is written and illustrated by Wendy Andrew.
