Blessings Gentle Reader , welcome to yourMonday Morning Moment Of Calm.
“Every day I take time to rest, shine and connect with my soul”
Moment of Calm is your weekly reminder from FabafterFifty to remind you to breathe, slow down and take a gentler, softer approach to life. Remember you are a divine being. Being calm, balanced and poise is your birthright.
In today’ s Moment Of Calm we offer you a two minute meditation you can do, right now, to instantly tap into that calm quiet space inside.
It is ideal to do first thing in the morning before you engage in your daily activities. This mini Moment Of Calm meditation is also excellent to practice when the gremlins start rumbling in your mind and you start snapping and being grumpy and impatient with family and colleagues. Rather than getting yourself all wound up, frustrated and anxious; pause, tune in and practice this mini meditation. It will clear the fog and feelings of overwhelm and anxiety and leave you feeling balanced, calm and clear.
Take a moment right now to check on your posture, how are you sitting or standing? Take a gentle breath in through your nose and as you breathe out, tune in see what is going within your mind, what thoughts, feelings and emotions are there, bubbling under the surface? Exhale and relax your jaw, lower your shoulders, lift your chest up, feel your spine lengthening as you allow your neck to float up and be long; smile with your eyes and appreciate how graceful and poised you look; remember you are a pure soul, a divine being walking this Earth.
Turn your attention to your breath and start to notice how you are breathing. Let your breath be soft and gentle, don’t change the way you are breathing, just observe the way your breath flows in, around and through your body.
Keep your jaw relaxed. Slowly open your mouth and silently whisper aloud the word AAAAHHHHH…. as you breathe out. See how long you can keep going whispering AAAHHHH before you naturally start to breathe in; open your mouth a bit wider and quietly say aloud another round of AAAHHHHHHs.
Repeat this 3-5 times and each time allow your aaaahhhhh sound to be longer and go deeper and deeper into your body. If you wish you can close your eyes as you meditate.
After you have done 3-5 rounds, remain still for a few more moments, noticing what you notice about the way you feel and enjoy the sensations and impressions flowing through your body and mind.
Whats Next?…
How was that, what difference do you notice in the way you feel before and after your 3-5 rounds of breathing out the sound AAAAHHHHHH…..
I hope you enjoyed your mini Moment of Calm Meditation. Use this practice first thing in the morning to ease you into your day or anytime you feel the gremlins coming on and nip them in the bud as you reclaim your inner calm and balance.
In peace and have a beautiful day
Namaste
