Hero dog saves family

BULL terrier Puca is the hero of the week after saving the lives of his owners in a five at their Benissa home during the early hours of Monday.

The bull-terrier's constant barking woke up the owner and alerted him of a fire in the property.

Jaume woke to the constant barking of Puca, one of the family pets, at around 02.00, and concerned as to why the dog was persistently barking went to investigate. Opening the bedroom door, he was faced with rising smoke coming from downstairs.
