KEEP YOUR FEET HAPPY IN HEELS

Woman walking in grass in heels
As London Fashion Week kicks off today, you may feel inspired to don a pair of heels in the name of style. If you are reaching for the towering talons, here are some tips on how to stay looking wonderful rather than wobbly.
British Chiropractic Association chiropractor Tim Hutchful says good shoes are important, as wearing the right pair can help your posture.
‘If the shoe supports your foot and allows you to use it properly, you can do as you please. If buying a pair of heels, make sure they aren't too tight, short or solid, otherwise you’ll restrict your movement.’
The secret to the perfect strut:
1. Tense your pelvic floor muscles.
2. Hold your head upright and don’t stick your chest out.
3. Keep your shoulders back.
4. Spread your weight evenly over the whole shoe when walking.
5. Don’t walk too fast – aim to be elegant!
