Best in Show Film
The infamous and sometimes controversial, Crufts has kicked off today at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham – oh the glamour! Over 27,000 dogs and 145,000 people are expected to descend on the largest dog show in the world over the next four days to prance, primp and pose, all in the name of canine fame and glory.
Here’s our top 5 ways to get Crufty:
1. Watch Crufts Funniest Moments of 2012:
Nothing says ‘haha’ line a few mis-placed toilet incidents, the odd tumble (the owners that is).
2. Teach a Trick
Your clever canine might not be ready for Crufts just yet but there’s no harm in a bit of physical and mental stimulation for you both. Don’t start with the motorcycle through the flaming hoop (that’s a little more advanced), perhaps ‘paw’ or ‘spin’ would be a good place to begin, then work your way up. Take your pick from 52 tricks at www.doggiebuddy.com
3. Enter the Dog Photographer of the Year Competition
If you fancy yourself as a bit handy behind the lens, enter yourself in Crufts Dog Photographer of the Year Competition which is open to both amateur and professional  photographers around the world. The competition launches on Sunday at Crufts – check their website for more details
4. Watch Best in Show
If you haven’t seen this hilarious improv comedy about the surreal entrants of a prestigious dog show, then you must be a fool. Get your paws all over it now.
