Tree of life

The Tree of Life (Sharajat-al-Hayat) in Bahrain is a 400 year-old , 32 feet high Mesquite tree located 1.2 miles or 2 kilometers away from Jebel Dukhan. The tree stands lonely in the heart of desert, on top of a 25-foot-high sandy hill. Mesquite trees are extremely well adapted to arid environments with one of the deepest known root systems (even over 160 feet deep).Thee Tree of Life, Bahrain surrounded by desert all around.Some of the local inhabitants believe that the tree's longevity is granted by Enki, the mythical God of water, and that it marks the location of the Garden of Eden.The tree is mentioned in the movie L. A. Story.
