March 1st

"May your Monday excel in unexpected joys as March hare rejoins us while we await reasonable ground temperature and official Spring"
"Mad as a March hare" phase is first recorded in circa 1500, in Blowbol's Test story and reprinted by W. C. Hazlitt in "Remains of Early Popular Poetry of England", 1864:
"Thanne [th]ey begyn to swere and to stare, And be as braynles as a Marshe hare."
