THE LOVE OF A DOGIf I were to be tasked
with teaching a loveless world
how to love
the love of a dog.
Because the love of a dog
is a commitment
a decision
it is undying
unwaveringly-enduring
and loyal
to the very core of it.
The love of a dog
is wholeheartedly-forgiving
it is soul-nurturing in its purity
and utterly life-affirming.
If I were to be tasked
with teaching a loveless world
how to love
I would for sure show them
the love of a dog.
If you do not know this love
my friend
I urge you
compel you
to seek it out.
