What's Your Poison?

Who says Halloween is just for kids? These adult beverages are made with us grown children in mind and can be made for any Halloween, Gothic or Witchified party of your choosing? So, what's your poison?....
What's Your Poison?
After Eight
1/2 ounce coffee liqueur
1/2 ounce crème de menthe (white or green)
1/2 ounce Irish cream
Pour all these ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake. Strain into a shot glass
Alice In Nightmareland
1/3 ounce blue curacao
1/3 ounce Jägermeister
1/3 ounce Kahlua
Pour ingredients in shot glass.
 Apple Bob
1 ounce Domaine de Canton or homemade ginger liqueur
1 ounce "rested" Tequila
1 ounce Green Apple Puree
1/4 ounce Cointreau
1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
Rim a cocktail glass with cinnamon sugar. Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and strain into the cocktail glass. Garnish: apple slice
Ashes to Ashes
1 1/2 ounces tequila
1/2 ounce sherry
1 ounce lemon juice
1 tsp. Sweetened Cocoa Mix
1/4 ounce agave nectar
1 pinch ground cinnamon
Pour all ingredients (except the cinnamon) in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake. Strain up into a cocktail glass. Garnish: cinnamon dust
Bayou Slime
2 ounce dark rum
6-8 fresh mint leaves
1/2 ounce Fee Brothers Coconut Cordial Syrup
1 egg white
Muddle mint leaves and syrup together. Place all ingredients into a shaker and shake until well-chilled and frothy. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish: crushed mint leaves.
Blackbeard's Ghost
1 ounce coconut rum
1 ounce dark rum
1 ounce light rum
1 ounce grapefruit juice
1 ounce orange juice
1 ounce mango syrup
1/4 ounce molasses
Shake ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into a highball glass over ice. Garnish: cherry
Black Candle
Blue Curacao
1 shot blue curacao
1/2 creme de cassis
champagne
Shake the blue curacao and creme de cassis with ice and strain into a champagne flute. Top off with chilled champagne.
Black Magick
1 1/2 ounce vodka
3/4 ounce coffee liqueur
dash lemon juice
lemon twist
Combine ingredients in a mixing glass with ice and stir gently. Strain into a highball glass over ice. Garnish: lemon twist.
Black Cat
1 part Kahlua
2-1/2 parts vanilla vodka
1/4 part Sambuca
espresso beans (optional)
Pour alcohol into an ice filled cocktail shaker and stir until chilled. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish: espresso beans
Black Widow
1-1/2 ounce vodka
3 ounces grape Juice
1 teaspoon of raw sugar
4 slices of fresh ginger
4 blackberries
2 blackberries
In a cocktail shaker, muddle together blackberries, ginger, and sugar. Add vodka and grape juice. Fill with ice and shake then strain into a chilled Martini glass. Garnish: 2 blackberries.
Cob Web
1 shot Bacardi Rum
1 shot tequila
1 shot brandy
lemonade
Pour rum, tequila and brandy into a cocktail glass filled with ice. Top with lemonade.
Coffee of the Damned
1/2 ounce tequila
1 ounce brandy
1 cup coffee
1 tsp. slice of lemon zest
1 ounce scotch
1 tbsp. simple syrup
In a large mug combine tequila, brandy, scotch and simple syrup. Fill the mug with hot coffee and float the lemon zest on top. Garnish: whipped cream.
Deadly Nightshade

1 1/2 ounce bourbon
2 ounce black currant juice
1/2 ounce simple syrup
1/2 ounce creme de cassis
black or red grapes
club soda
Shake bourbon, juice, syrup and liqueur over ice and strain into cocktail or old-fashioned glass containing ice. Add chilled red or black grapes. Top off with club soda.
Devil's Tail
1/2 ounce apricot liqueur
1/2 tsp. genadine
1/2 ounce lime juice
1/2 ounce vodka
1 1/2 ounce Gold Rum
lime peel
Mix first five ingredients with ice in a blender. Pour into a chilled cocktail glass. Twist lime peel over drink and drop into glass.
Devil's Pumpkin
1 ounce pear-flavored vodka
1 ounce pumpkin butter1/2 ounce Triple Sec
1/2 ounce simple syrup
pinch each of ground cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and ginger
grated nutmeg
apple chip
Combine the first four ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker and shake. Pour into a cocktail glass and sprinkle with grated nutmeg. Garnish: an apple slice.
Dracula's Kiss
1 ounce black cherry vodka
1/2 ounce grenadine
cola
maraschino cherries
Coat the bottom of a highball glass with grenadine. Add ice and vodka. Fill with cola. Garnish: cherries.
The Electric Chair
1 ounce brewed espresso
1 ounce chocolate-flavored iced coffee
1 ounce cachaça
1 ounce Amaretto
Fill blender with ice and add all ingredients. Blend until thick and pour into a cocktail glass.
Ghost
Godiva
1 1/2 ounce Smirnoff Vanilla Vodka
1/4 ounce Godiva Chocolate Liqueur
1/4 ounce half-and-half
1/4 ounce simple syrup
1/4 ounce shavings of white chocolate
Fill shaker with ice. Add the Smirnoff Vanilla Vodka, Godiva Chocolate Liqueur, half-and-half, and simple syrup and shake. Strain into chilled martini glass rimmed with white chocolate. Garnish: white chocolate shavings.
Ghost Cocktail
1 1/4 oz. Smirnoff Vanilla Twist
1/4 oz. half and half
1/4 oz. simple syrup
1/2 oz. Godiva White Chocolate
Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and pour into a cocktail glass. Garnish: white chocolate shavings
Green Ghoul
1 part Midori Melon Liqueur
1/2 part Strega Liqueur or Yellow Chartreuse
1/2 part Canton Ginger liqueur
Ginger Beer or Ginger Ale
Add first 3 ingredients into a shaker glass, add ice and shake Strain over ice in a collins glass. Line the inside of a wine glass with strands of black licorice. Pour in contents of the collins glass and fill with ginger beer or ginger ale.
Jack O'Lantern

1 ounce cognac
1 1/2 ounce orange juice
1/2 ounce ginger ale
1/2 ounce orange liqueur
orange wheel
lime twist
Combine all ingredients in a shaker and shake. Strain into a lowball glass over ice. Float an orange wheel with a lime twist poked into the top.
Nightmare Abbey
3/4 ounce cherry brandy
1 1/2 ounce Dubonnet Rouge
1 ounce orange juice
1 ounce gin
Mix all ingredients with cracked ice in a shaker or blender and strain into a chilled cocktail glass
RedRum
2 ounces spiced rum
1 ounce grenadine syrup
1 1/2 ounces orange juice
1 1/2 ounces pineapple juice
Maraschino cherry
Mix together the rum and the grenadine in a cocktail shaker. Pour into a glass over crushed ice and both juices. Garnish: maraschino cherry.
Sangue Frio (cold blood)
3 ounces Sandeman Founders Reserve Port
6 ounces ginger ale
1/4 green apple cut in small cubes
1 ounce fresh squeezed orange juice
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a collins glass.
Satan's Whiskers
1/2 ounce gin
1/2 ounce dry vermouth
1/2 ounce sweet vermouth
1/2 ounce orange juice
½ ounce Grand Marnier
1 dash Fee Brothers Orange Bitters
orange twist
Combine ingredients (except orange twist) with ice until cold and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish: orange twist
Sour Witch
Sour Witch
1 1/2 ounce absinthe
3/4 ounce almond syrup
1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
3 or 4 pitted sour cherries
champagne (or sparkling wine)
grated nutmeg
In the bottom of a mixing glass, muddle the sour cherries in the lime juice and almond syrup. Add the absinthe with ice and shake. Strain into a chilled champagne flute and top with champagne. Garnish: grated nutmeg.
Spider's Kiss
1 ounce Midori
1 ounce vodka
juice from 1/2 Lemon
chocolate syrup
grenadine
Take the chocolate syrup and draw a chocolate web into a martini glass then chill the glass. Shake remaining ingredients and strain into glass.
Swamp Water Surprise
2 ounce rum
1/4 ounce Blue Curaçao
1 ounce orange juice
1/2 ounce lemon juice
1 package of gelatin
1 cup boiling water
3/4 cup vodka
Swamp Water:
Pour the rum, blue curaçao and juices into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
The Surprise:
Prepare ahead of time so that it's ready when you've finished shaking the Swamp Water. Dissolve the gelatin in boiling water. Add the vodka and put it in the freezer. Before the gelatin sets up completely, whip it with a whisk. Let stand at least 5 minutes. Carefully spoon The Surprise into the glass of Swamp Water.
Wicked Sky
Wicked Sky
1 ounce single malt scotch
1 1/2 ounce Midori (or melon liqueur)
pineapple juice
Shake the scotch and Midori in a cocktail shaker. Pour ice and all into a highball glass. Fill with pineapple juice
Witches Brew
1/2 ounce apricot liqueur
1/2 teaspoon grenadine
1/2 ounce lime juice
1/2 ounce vodka
1 1/2 ounces cachaca
Mix all ingredients in a blender. Pour into chilled cocktail glasses. This recipe serves two.
White Witch
White Witch
1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
1 ounce vodka
1 ounce white crème de cacao
Mix all ingredients in a blender at low speed for 10 seconds. Spoon into a chilled sherbet glass or wine goblet
