Steve Jobs quotation

Are you willing to lose everything to keep the one thing that matters?

Our elephriend and columnist Chris Courtney put this quote on his FB Wall today.

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma—which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become.

Everything else is secondary.”

~ Steve Jobs

Thing is, in our self-help culture, the above can read like a cute, trite, positive aphorism. It’s not.
Are you willing to lose everything to keep the one thing that matters? Very, very few of us are.
Re the photo: “This was a very typical time [1982]. I was single. All you needed was a cup of tea, a light, and your stereo, you know, and that’s what I had.”
