This inscription was found in a second hand book I picked up recently. You can't help but wonder what it was doing in a second hand shop and what happened to the couple and the circumstances it was given.

I only sing the tunes

The madness of the moons

Eat coconuts and custard for
morning, dinner and tea, kiss
all the little black boys and
one or two for me. Be jolly
and smilie happy and I love
you lots, forever and a day.
