Druids honor the natural world and the wisdom that can be learned by studying at the feet of Mother Earth. The most ancient of wise-folk, Druids have passed their knowledge from mouth to ear for millennia.
Although an honorary position, I like to think that Elizabeth would have taken her commitment to this as seriously as she did to the many other aspects of her work and personal life.
Our Royal family holds responsibility for too many to mention atrocities around the Globe in the name of Empire, and my personal hope is that with the passing of our Queen we will witness a heightened pace towards the passing of constitutional monarchy in this country. But more importantly a committment towards healing these deep ancestral wounds that so many are re-experiencing at this time.
I will not pour hate into the wound.
I am in awe of the strong, determined, well humoured & somewhat sassy older woman Elizabeth became.
I am in gratitude for all she sacrificed to enable that.
I am even a little proud to have been a citizen of the country this 'druid' woman who lived connected to the land, the animals, and the elements represented.
Most of all, I'm bloody exhausted from the collective grief & trauma energy that's being witnessed at the moment.
If you're mourning or hurting at the moment, if you're grieving or angry I hope you are able to let the feelings sit in your body, and maybe even utilise them to create change as the wheel keeps turning, and we move ever onwards.
