Abandoned Blind Jack Russell And His Bull Terrier Guide Dog Found A Loving Home

Earlier this year, two elderly terriers were found together in a sea tunnel in  Hartlepool, Durham, having been abandoned. We can now safely say that they have found the loving home they so deserved!

The pair are said be be absolutely inseparable with Buzz, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, acting as a guide dog for Glenn, a permanently blind Jack Russell Terrier.

Buzz and Glenn were rescued and received great care at the Stray Aid centre in Coxhoe in June this year.

The pair are roughly nine – ten years old and sadly it is thought they may have been abandoned due to their age.

Buzz and Glenn become distressed if separated even for a few minutes so it was essential that they were re-homed together. And they were!

The animal charity was absolutely inundated with requests to rehome the dogs from around the world, including the United States, Canada, Europe, South America and even Australia.

After a lengthy screening process reviewing potential adoptive families within the UK, Buzz and Glenn finally met their new family for the first time in July.

Charity volunteers told The Hartlepool Mail that it was love at first sight all round and the devoted pair are beyond happy their new home.

What a lovely happy ending for these two incredible friends! We wish them and their humans many years of joy.
