By Daily Mail Reporter|
Most dog's have mastered the doggy paddle but these talented pooches have taken it to the next level - by smashing the world record for most mutts on a surfboard.
The pooches took to their boards last weekend for one of the World's strangest events - Loews Coronado Bay Resort Surf Dog Competition.
And 17 of the canine competitors crammed themselves onto a single long board to beat the previous record set at the same event last year, by an impressive two dogs.

Nathan Rupert, 31, from Indiana captured some of the incredible pictures of the event.
He said: 'It was definitely an event worth watching, it's not everyday you see a surfing dog.
'It is pretty amazing that some of these dogs can get hit with such huge waves and stay on the board.
'I like witnessing the crowd's reactions too and seeing the bond between dog and owner.

'But getting these these great shots was definitely worth all the trouble.'
