The History of Wales

Able Seaman Richard Morgan died on Armistice Day, 11th November 1918 while serving on the destroyer HMS Garland. He was 26 years old and was probably the last British Serviceman to die in the First World War. He is buried in the village of Defauden in Monmouthshire and is one of 40,000 Welsh servicemen to be killed during the conflict.

May be an image of rose and text that says "They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary weary them, not the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them. Laurence Binyon"
