Happy Solstice

Folklore, Customs, Legends and Mythology

Bright blessings for the winter solstice/Yule everyone. Celebrated on or about December 21st in the Northern Hemisphere, Yule marks the sun's transition from fiery Sagittarius to earthy Capricorn. At this time, the return of the sun is celebrated. The days will get longer with every passing day as we look forward to spring. Evergreens, such as holly and ivy, decorate our homes to remind ourselves that the earth will be green once again. The Yule Tree is decorated as an ancient Pagan custom. It can symbolise the Yggdrasil, the Tree of the World, where the Norse god Odin won the ancient divination symbols of the runes. This god is thought to be the origin of Santa Claus with his white beard and his gift-giving. Have a lovely Yule everyone 🎄🎄.
