Today's Google Doodle is for Mr Boole. He was born 200 hundred years ago and he created Boolean algebra, before computers even existed. Little he knew about how fundamental his creation would be for computers after his death.

George Boole (/ˈbuːl/; 2 November 1815 – 8 December 1864) was an English mathematician, philosopher and logician. He worked in the fields of differential equations and algebraic logic, and is now best known as the author of The Laws of Thought. Boole said,
