8 Roald Dahl Quotes to Live your Life by

Roald Dahl may have been a children’s author but he had plenty to say that even adults should take heed of. His books have transcended generations, and survived the test of time, popular with both children and adults alike. Today (13th September) is Roald Dahl Day, a national day of celebration to mark the author’s birth and with that in mind I thought I’d pick my favourite Dahl quotes that should resonate with both children and adults alike!

Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.
“So, please, oh please, we beg, we pray, go throw your TV set away, and in its place you can install, a lovely bookcase on the wall.”
“It doesn’t matter who you are or what you look like, so long as somebody loves you.”
“A little nonsense now and then, is cherished by the wisest men.”
“I have a passion for teaching kids to become readers, to become comfortable with a book, not daunted. Books shouldn’t be daunting, they should be funny, exciting and wonderful; and learning to be a reader gives a terrific advantage.”
“Grown ups are complicated creatures, full of quirks and secrets.”
“If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.”
“A little magic can take you a long way.”
