When John Maynard Keynes was asked near the end of his life if he had any regrets, he answered: "I should have drunk more champagne." Really, that is the kind of regret you should have. Being closest in age to all of these people Katherine quotes with all these regrets, I felt sorry for them; always look forward instead of backward (unless you are rowing), and drink more champagne.
