The Northern Lights

The colored array whispers
Across the sky
Arching streams of light
That dazzle the eye
Has Aurora come to visit
This mortal realm
Casting aside her guise
And heavenly helm
Striding through the night
At the cusp of dawn
Announcing the sun
As in times bygone
Perhaps it is the last dance
Of our immortal souls
As we cross to the light
Singing our humble extols
Those of a methodical mind
Say it is nothing more
Than particles of the sun
Colliding in a spectacular roar
But wherever your mind and
Thoughts may lie
It is the beauty of God
That dances across the sky
Sheri Walters.
