The sadness there, in Faery Land, was growing, day, by day,
as people chose, to not believe, and chased Magic, away.
Once, long ago, the human world, had honored world, of Faery.
But, somehow, in these modern days, t'was thought unnecessary,
just a silly superstition, so considered, by too many.
And, he feared, what would happen, if someday, there were not any
believers, in the wee folk, for belief helped Magic live.
And so, he sent a wish out, that each human child would give
a promise, just to plant, a little seed, of true belief!
Before, too long, he thought, he felt, a stirring, of relief.
For, something good was growing, and he felt it, in his heart.
His sincere wish, had somehow, somehow, made a little start!
For, that heartfelt wish had fallen, blessedly, on fertile ground.
And, the children's hearts had listened, and soon rose, a joyful sound!
"We believe, we believe!", came the chorus, and it grew,
as millions, of little children swore, "We do believe in you!"
And his heart was filled, with happiness, and he shed a happy tear.
And. no longer, did he worry; and no longer, did he fear!
For, the children are the future, and the years ahead, would find
the Magic safe and cherished, by the true believer kind!
